Three Ways to Winterize Your Skin Care Routine

It’s the time of year when the temperature and humidity dip down, and indoor heating, steamy showers, and dry air turn up. Just like your wardrobe, your skin care routine needs a few adjustments for the change in season. Skin can become dry, flaky, cracked, tight, sensitive, itchy, or all of the above – but with these simple tips, it will be easy for your skin to “weather” the winter.

Mask Before You Moisturize: Layering isn’t just about sweaters, jackets, and scarves. Adding layers of moisture to your skin care routine will help protect your face from winter’s chill. One way to do this is by inserting a thirst-quenching sheet mask into your routine, 1-2 times per week, between cleansing and your final layer of moisturizer (if you follow any or all of the 10-step K-Beauty skin care regimen, chances are you already mask at least once a week, so just bump up the frequency).
