If you read your skincare product labels, you might notice “water” as one of the ingredients. Water has some amazing benefits for the complexion, from cooling irritation to maintaining hydration, and it also helps with the spread-ability of your products. But not all H2O’s are equal. Water can contain unwanted minerals, bacteria, pollutants, and other adulterants that can affect product purity and efficacy. Some products also contain water as a filler, rather than an active ingredient. That’s why it’s important to know where the water in your skincare comes from and how it’s intended to benefit your skin!
There are many unique ingredients that Aloisia Beauty’s Korean skincare products bring to the table, and Jade+ Water is one of them.
What makes our Jade+ Water so special? Jade Water is a specific type of water sourced from natural springs found deep within the Jade mines of South Korea. It takes years for this water to pass through a layer of fine white Jade stratum, and it collects in the Jade-lined pools deep underground. This water obtains an unmatched purity – the natural process filters out heavy metals and adulterants, while the water accumulates vital minerals and nutrients that benefit the skin. Jade itself contains minerals like magnesium and calcium, which are important to your body’s overall health and vitality.
Jade+ Water is also a high-alkaline water with a minimum pH of at least 8. This high alkalinity, when strategically combined with the other vital ingredients, will help restore skin to a balanced pH. That’s why we took great care in selecting Jade+ Water for our own water-based cleanser, REFRESH Jade Purifying Cleanser. This cleanser is ideal to for all skin types, even sensitive skin, and if you follow K-Beauty’s double cleanse, it’s the perfect follow-up to your oil-based cleanser.
Why a water-based cleanser? Water-based cleansers serve to rinse away impurities like dirt particles, sweat, makeup, and other grime from your skin’s surface. REFRESH Jade Purifying Cleanser does it all with a gentle foam, fresh scent, and a balancing pH of 5 – which closely resembles your skin’s natural pH – to give your skin a deep cleaning without over drying or irritating. We’ve paired Jade+ Water with other powerful ingredient like Green Tea, Propolis, Korean Angelica, and plant-based Ceramides to hydrate and protect your skin’s natural barrier, shield against pollutants, and leave your skin silky smooth, bright, and balanced.
So during your next skincare session, take a look at your products to see what kind of water you’re dipping into!
